  5. Who stole your energy?

Ever since I can remember I have always been fascinated by human energy and the effect it has on other individuals and situations.  I realise after becoming more aware and studying human energy just how significantly it can impact people and situations both positively and negatively.  Seriously… you should be paying attention to it!

Have you ever felt someone’s happiness or positivity rub off on you? Or their negative energy makes you feel flat or tired and that you should distance yourself from them?

Why is it that meeting with some people can uplift and inspire you while others leave you wanting to hide away in a dark room?

Sometimes it is easy to see how others affect you, but many times you may not even realize the effect others are having on you or the effect you are having on others. Creating awareness of how situations or people make you feel can help correct or deflect this negative energy.

The more you notice other people’s energy the more conscious you become of who you want to spend time with.   Energy vampires or suckers are good to avoid!

Remember we all sometimes feel negative – and sometimes it is important for you to find someone to hang out with who can help bring your energy upwards just as it is necessary and empathetic to help lift the energy of others who are accessible and open to it.

The more positive you feel the more you realise how important it is to stay positive and not let anyone affect your energy because energy is such an important part of your life.  It gives you strength, meaning, focus and if you make it a priority it will serve you well.

Do you have go to tools for helping lift your energy when you need a positive boost?  Often, we sit for too long in our lower energy vibe instead of engaging in our strategies to help us get the positive bounce back.  So, what are your strategies?

As a leader, (remember every person is a leader!!) your energy can determine the success of a meeting, a workday, your home environment or even your overall company.  If you have an employee, co-worker or family member who is struggling, have you considered how much influence you have in their performance and helping them to lift their energy? Taking action is good because remember negativity is contagious!

Sometimes you may think that best way to deal with negative people is to simply ignore them.  However, it’s important to remember that many people are not aware of how their negative energy is affecting themselves and others around them.

Evaluate the energy flowing within your company and around you as including your home life.  Don’t wait for others to create the positive, rewarding, motivating environment that you have the power to create all along.  A positive environment is a healthy environment whether it be at home or in the office.

It takes courage to accept that you create your life experience!
